Overview:
Airforce™ Model J, J4, and J48 hand dryers feature an aluminum housing finished in epoxy paint that is incorporated with SteriTouch® antimicrobial additive or housing finished in chrome plating.
The unit's m otors are universal brush type operating at 34000 RPM and are
thermally protected. The Airforce dryer is activated by an automatic active infrared sensor controlled by a circuit board with 1 second run-on time and 30 second
vandal shut-off.
The Airforce provides a
40° F temperature rise, and PC/ABS internal housing components that are V0 or V5 flame retardant.

What is SteriTouch®?
SteriTouch® is a comprehensive range of antimicrobial additives designed to reduce the growth of harmful organisms such as bacteria, mold and fungi, while remaining entirely safe for even the most sensitive applications.
Against which organisms is SteriTouch® effective?
Independent testing has shown SteriTouch® to be effective against many organisms, including bacteria such as methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), escherichia coli, pseudomonas aeruginosa, salmonella enteritidis and listeria monocytogenes, and moulds such as aspergillus niger.
How does SteriTouch® kill these organisms?
Studies of the means by which silver acts on microbial cells have demonstrated several mechanisms: interaction with sulfhydryl groups of proteins; inhibition of cell wall synthesis during mitosis (the process of cell division by which the bacteria replicates); disabling of the cell’s proton pump; unwinding of cell DNA; interruption of hydrogen bonding processes within the cell.
